Cardiology Job Details

• Location: Boise, Idaho (83706) – Premier destination for Idaho healthcare jobs
• Setting: Inpatient Cardiology Unit (Trauma Level II)
• Employment Type: Locum Tenens Interventional Cardiologist (Travel Contract)
• Schedule: 24-hour call coverage (7a-7a); weekdays and weekends
• Assignment Duration: 13-week contract with extension potential
• Patient Volume: Average 3 cardiac consults/day, 2 cardiac procedures/day
• Support: Advanced Practice Provider (APP) support available
• Shift Duration: 12-hour days
• Hours per Week: Approximately 36
• Estimated Weekly Salary: $78,750 - $84,370

Interventional Cardiologist Qualifications

• Board Certification in Interventional Cardiology (required)
• Active Idaho medical license or IMLC (LOQ at time of name clear) (required)
• Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in interventional cardiology
• Clean malpractice and background history
• COVID-19 vaccination (required)
• Ability to cover scheduled open dates
• Proficiency with TEE, balloon pumps, coronary stents, IVUs, and IFR preferred

Cardiology Responsibilities

• Deliver inpatient interventional cardiology care, including cardiac consults and advanced procedures
• Manage STEMI activations and acute cardiac cases in a trauma-level setting
• Perform advanced cardiac procedures: TEE, balloon pumps, stents, IVUs, IFR
• Collaborate with APPs and multidisciplinary healthcare teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Participate in 24-hour call coverage, including weekends and holidays
• Document and communicate effectively within the clinical care team
