Rhino Medical is leading the charge seeking Board Certified OB/GYN Physicians for a dynamic OB Hospitalist locum tenens opportunity in Seaford, DE. Join a supportive women’s health team providing high-quality care to both routine and high-risk obstetric patients in a collegial, collaborative environment.

Assignment Highlights

• Location: Seaford, DE
• Contract Type: Locum Tenens – OB Hospitalist
• Start Date: ASAP (Credentialing ~90 days; temp privileges possible for clean files)
• Duration: 6+ months, potential to extend based on recruiting
• Shifts: Flexible, preference for 24-hour in-house shifts; weekend-only options available for local physicians
• Schedule: Mix of weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed

• Hospital Beds: 99
• NICU: Level I
• Annual Deliveries: ~870
• Annual OBED Visits: ~59/month
• Annual Surgical Procedures: 4–5/month (emergent GYN included)
• EMR: Epic
• Day Coverage: 1 MD
• Night Coverage: 1 MD

• Manage all unassigned OB patients presenting to L&D and the main ED
• Provide emergent and consultative GYN services
• Perform antepartum, postpartum, and inpatient GYN rounds on unassigned patients
• Respond to obstetric emergencies for private physicians’ patients when needed
• Provide coverage for emergent GYN surgeries (ectopic pregnancy, ovarian torsion, incomplete abortion, etc.)
• Participate in nursing simulations/drills and assist with private physician C-sections when requested
• Clinic coverage 1–2 days/week for post-surgical follow-up and high-risk OB/GYN visits
• Collaborate with OB/GYN and Family Medicine residents
• Actively support the team with evidence-based care and impromptu teaching

• Board Certification: OB/GYN
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years active practice
• Skills: Current laparoscopy skills required; comfortable with high-risk obstetrics and emergent GYN cases
• Flexible schedule with willingness to share weekend/holiday coverage
